Saw a video about this place and decided to try it out. Love they are doing AYCE every day now. GF and I came here on a Thursday for lunch. We were like the 4th table so no wait. The ordering is easy via QR code and the waitress gave us a bottle of water which is always great. Though I wish it was cold and had ice, but it's ok. There are two self-serve stations. The sauce bar and a snack/meat area. The sauce bar has all of the essentials of a Chinese hot pot. The area is a bit snug so if it's busy, be ready to wait. I think they should move it but the restaurant isn't huge either. The other bar had fruit, beef belly (that was interesting), and napa cabbage. I don't know why they give out beef belly and napa cabbage like that but I am not complaining. Once our broth came, it didn't take long for the pot to boil. We got pork bone and sukiyaki. The broth was great, the sukiyaki was a tad too sweet but still great. I just added a bit of soy to it and it was fine. For food, we ordered... 3x plates of beef 1x plate of lamb Tong oh Tofu skin 2x you tiao Fresh tofu Fish Everything was great. The meat was generous, especially the lamb, and the meat seemed pretty fresh. The other dishes were great. Veggies and fish seemed pretty fresh too. Not fishy at all. Overall, I think my GF and I found our new go-to hotpot place. We want to come back for dinner to see the expanded menu

Great hotpot experience! Fresh ingredients, tasty broths, and friendly staff. The cozy atmosphere made it perfect for a fun meal with friends.

Decent hotpot place in Fremont/Milpitas area. I didn't come in on their AYCE but the price was reasonable without that option. Everything we ordered was fresh and they were not joking about the spice in the menu, so be careful with the combo of spicy beef and spicy broth. We got all but of everything, from meat to seafood, veggies platter and tofu, which were more than enough for 3. The self serve area and sauce bar were a nice touch. Their staffs were also really helpful and kept checking on us all the time. Totally recommend when you're in the area.

The skinny: AYCE is worth (check dates) Quality is great Self-serve options are decent The lengthy: This was my third time here. It took a full three times to get a good feel for this place. The first time was during a weekend lunch, not AYCE, was ok. Second time was a weeknight dinner, AYCE, i completely overindulged. Third time's the charm! Our party this time was four adults, two kids. They have a sauce station with all sorts of sauces and add-ons, like minced garlic and peanut powder. They also have an appetizer/dessert/sides station with roasted peanuts, sliced beef, green bean soup, and more. We ordered the Japanese pork bone broth and the tomato veggie broth. For the first round, we ordered lots of veggies, shrimp, fish balls, supreme beef, and other things. We were able to finish maybe 13-15 trays of protein (e.g., meat, tofu, fish balls), along with lots of vegetables. The selection is great, the meat and seafood all looks incredibly fresh. The value is, in my estimation, unbeatable as of this review. Total out the door was close to $150 for 4 adults. I will definitely be back for more AYCE on a weeknight :)

I'm typically not too big on super authentic Chinese hotpot but Zhangfei Hot Pot really changed that. What really stood out about this particular restaurant is it's extremely friendly staff. With the lunch's full house rush and only 2 younger gentleman running the entire show, it was clear how much they were hustling. Our party's requests were met with smiles and the vibes were so very chill. Seriously, this was some of the BEST customer service I've experienced at an Asian restaurant- which says a whole lot bc staff for the most part gives 2 shizzzzz about customer service. Lunch involved Zhangfei's AYCE. For $25/person, that was an absolute steal. Ordering occurs via QR code and the meal is cut off at a limit of 1.5 hours. There are a long list of items available but pay close attention to things that contain a charge next to it- these items are not included into the AYCE meal and will result in additional charges. Food: While there is a self serve condiments station for you to create your own dipping sauces and a station filled with snacks, sweets, and a few veggies, everything else is ordered via phone. As some Yelpers mentioned, getting your items can take quite a bit of time and you may not even receive parts of your order [which happened to us]. We let a few items slide but the staff is very helpful if you bring the missing items to their attention. We opted for the half/half broth combo and decided on Japanese Sukiyaki & Japanese Pork Bone. Sukiyaki was super sweet [too sweet for my tastebuds] but the pork bone balanced things out by mixing the two. The cuts of meat are decent quality and the servings are plentiful. 4 stars overall because the meal is really good but the time you are left waiting on items can seem unnecessary. +1 because the staff is so diligent and kind. This goes without mentioning but I am most definitely a fan.

A good, reasonably priced spot for AYCE hotpot in Fremont. On weekdays during lunch hours, it's only $24.99 per person! Their AYCE menu is plentiful! I also really enjoyed their broth as it's much more authentic tasting than chains like Happy Lamb. The Spicy broth is actually spicy and rich from the beef oil! Super yummy. All the ingredients are fresh tasting, and the sauce bar is extensive. I really have no complaints but I will note that the meat can be a little bit inconsistent in terms of thickness. The last batch we received was cut too thick and therefore very hard to chew after cooked. Service was great despite the restaurant being super busy during the lunch rush. They cared to explain how everything works since it was our first time. The restaurant is kept clean and has a pretty casual ambiance. I will note that there was a strange ringing noise throughout our meal that was a bit bothersome.

I was extremely hungry on a Wednesday and quite strangely, their AYCE dinner special is from Monday to Wednesday only. So away I went. $32 on an AYCE dinner is pretty decent if you can brave the hell that is getting to Pacific Commons. So on terms of dinner pricing, this place is unbeat. As far as Hot Pot goes, it's pretty convenient. You order meats and vegetables with your phone. Each table can get two different broths. I opted for cumin and peppercorn. Really really recommend cumin. Very uniquely, I note that you can actually order the hotpot up to "ghost pepper" level. So I guess if you're a spice junkie, this is the place to go. Also a big fan of how many offmeats there are, from gizzard to intestine to tendon. Some are dinner only though. I don't think I saw much seafood on the menu. I'm personally not a seafood fan, but maybe seafood fans should keep in mind. Anyways, a totally solid and enjoyable hot pot experience. Especially recommend the Ayce M-W dinner special - and this is definitely a recommended place for spice junkies.
